If every effect has a cause, who created God?

Matter is the product of a cosmic Mind. But to admit that sort of cosmic mind is to admit a God outside of nature, a transcendent and supernatural God. The universe is matter. Matter cannot produce mind; only the cosmic mind can produce matter. God is not matter. He is spirit. The creation of the world was not from preexisting matter or stuff. Everything that has a beginning needs a cause. If the universe had no beginning, then it does not need a cause fort its beginning. If God had no beginning, then neither does he need a cause. Few people will argue that the universe had no beginning. From the standpoint logic and science it boils down to four choices:

1) The universe is just an illusion

2) The universe sprang from nothing

3) The universe has always existed

4) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

The universe cannot spring into being out of nothing. God is the uncaused First Cause.
