Atheist

The term Atheism originated from the Greek (atheos), meaning “without god”. Atheists believe that no gods exist and that there are only natural explanations for the universe. Christians don’t hold to a close-minded view, but rather believe there are natural and supernatural explanations for the existence universe. Secular Humanists are Atheists who prefer not to attach the Atheist label to their belief system, where that term may carry negative baggage that they don't care about ethics. Humanism is an approach to life based on reason, human nature and experience with the hope of human flourishing. They believe it is not necessary to bring God into the equation. Humans inherently know what is right and wrong. How is it that we know right from wrong? If you look political differences, clearly we see humans don't  agree or inherently know right from wrong in every instance. There is Right & Left. There is Right & Wrong.

Romans 2:12-16

For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law;  for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.

Psalm 19:1-3

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.

Atheists have painted a faulty picture of what God should look like and how He should act. When the God of the bible doesn’t match the "god"  they’ve imagined in their minds, they say there must be no god. It is common for Atheists to attack God's morality based on the horizontal laws God gave to humanity, as if they apply vertically to God. This isn't as blatant as worshiping a golden calf, but the expectation of what god should  look like is the false god that Atheists have imagined in their minds.

Exodus 32:4

He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.

Exodus 20:3

You shall have no other gods before Me.

John 3:19-21

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution gives us Freedom Of Religion.  Everyone has the right to practice his or her own religion. This includes practicing no religion at all. This isn't freedom from religion, because the law making process involves moral decisions. For the vast majority of people, morality stems from theological foundations. The founders believed the best way to protect religious liberty was to keep the government out of religion (separation of church and state). There is still much debate as to what this phrase means. Certainly it means that the government can't enforce an official religion on the American people. That would violate our freedom. However, silencing the voice of the faithful is an assault on the intention of our founding fathers, who came from different religious backgrounds.

2 Peter 3:3

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

Peter builds on this understanding (1 Pet 2:24).
