Anger

If anger is sinful did Jesus sin ?

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, “My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a “den of thieves.'” This kind of anger is pure because it concerned God’s house of worship. Is anger in itself sin? When you read about the violence in the newspaper is it sinful to be angry with the bad news? No. If anger is used as a destructive emotion, it is sinful. The Bible instructs us to “be angry, and sin not,” and not to let the sun go down on our anger. The command is not to “avoid anger” but to deal with it properly. Jesus’ anger targeted sinful behavior and true injustice. The anger of humans more times than not, lacks control and focus.

Ephesians 4:26

Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

James 1:19-20

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;  for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.

All of us have made the mistake of speaking foolishly in anger or in contrast have seen the value of being silent to choose words of wisely.

Peter builds on this understanding (1 Pet 2:24).
